Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Both her parents were both English. Her family was on the South London Council Estate, and then went to The Brit School aged 14. She studied acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. As a student at the academy, she appeared in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career through a short film called Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer is that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy made in the year 2008. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009, with the dramatic The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before it was ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. Madekwe appeared in all episodes in the series' initial two seasons as the show's regular. In May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will leave the show after her guest appearance in the premiere episode of its third season. She played Tituba in the TV program Salem between 2014 and. Madekwe, her longtime partner, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her parents Roy and Patty and her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. The four brothers of Ashley, each of them extremely active, took part in hockey in the winter and baseball during the summers, meaning they grew up mostly in baseball and arenas. Ashley was unable to walk, but was able to dance. This led to the fact that as she grew older, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing after she started the Baby Ballet. Ashley was a dancer who competed in all the major categories until the time she graduated from high school. She was a competitor in jazz, tap, ballet and pointe, as well as Acrobatics. She won the top soloist awards at all of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
